n Wednesday, August 26, 2004 Bush-Cheney Campaign legal advisor, attorney Ben Ginsberg announced that he was stepping down from his position as the senior legal advisor to the president's campaign because he had provided some legal advise to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. The liberal media and the Kerry Campaign jumped on Ginsberg's resignation from the Bush Team as proof that Bush was behind the Swift Boat ads—because most of the $60,403.00 that had been spent nationwide on the Swift Boat ads came from a single Bush supporter, Bob Perry of Bob Perry Homes. Fanning that weak link (since its unlikely that those who were not supporting Bush's reelection would have ever contributed to the partisan Swift Boat ads, Kerry spinmeisters insisted that Ginsberg and Perry were proof that Bush had orchestrated the attack on John Kerry's war record. Kerry's lieutenants demanded that the Bush Administration insist that retired Rear Admiral Roy Hoffmann, the former commander of Swift Boat Coastal Division 11 pull their low budget, low cost television ads that were running in local markets in three battleground States.

But as the liberal media attempted to solder the link between Ginsberg and Hoffmann to the Oval Office doorknob, they completely ignored the fact that the law firm that represents John Kerry's campaign also represents MoveOn.org—which has already independently spent $17.43 million to make the American people believe that President George W. Bush is a reincarnation of Adolph Hitler. Compared to the $17.43 million spent by MoveOn.orgwhich was part of $126,670,000.00 already collectively spent by seven liberal Section 527 advocacy groups to defeat Bush—the Swift Boat Vets total budget is only $158,750. (Note: after the GOP Convention, grassroots contributors sent the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth $140 thousand, bring their total contributions to just under $200 thousand—a far cry from the $150.6 million contributed thus far by Bush's political enemies to defeat him.) The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth made it very clear that not only was Bush not behind their effort, Bush could not make them stop the ads. This was between them and John Kerry—and it was very personal. The only way they would stop their ads, Hoffmann said, would be if John Kerry got on national TV and [a] admitted that he did not deserve the medals he wears, [b] renounce his anti-American, anti-veteran speeches made to Congress on April 23, and June 6, 1971—and [c] apologize to America's veterans for making seditious statements to Congress with respect to their conduct in Vietnam.

Of course, by doing so, Kerry would be admitting that he lent aid to an enemy of the United States during a time of war. His presidential bid would end with that admission since his entire campaign for the office of the presidency is predicated on his war record—and his superior qualifications as a war hero to lead this nation. But Lt. Audie Murphy or Sergeant Alvin York Kerry is not. Benedict Arnold perhaps, but not Murphy or York. If Kerry has to fall back on his congressional record to get elected, he will have no platform on which to run since he has no congressional record. Not a single piece of legislation in Kerry's 23-years in the Senate carries his name. He has no record of achievement—only a record of not showing up for Committee meetings.

At the end of the Republican National Convention the President took a major bump upwards, with a USA Today poll reporting that if the election had been held that day, Bush would have won with 57% of the popular vote to 44% for Kerry and 3% for Ralph Nader. Fifty-four percent of the likely voters felt Bush was a strong, decisive leader while only 34% thought Kerry was. Fifty-two percent thought Bush stands up for what he believes in while only 35% thought Kerry did. Before the GOP Convention, Bush and Kerry were either deadlocked, or Kerry led by one or two points in most polls. A Time poll taken immediately after the GOP convention showed 52% of the likely voters surveyed would have cast their ballot for Bush if the election had been held that day. Forty-one percent would have voted for Kerry and 3% for Nader. That was a double digit lead for Bush. Kerry was absolutely convinced that the bump was a direct result of the Swift Boat 527's minuscule $60,403.00 advertising buy in three swing States—even though seven liberal 527s had already spent $126,670,000.00—that's millions, not thousands.

Hoping to crush Bush's post-convention bump so that his spinmeisters could claim that there was no real bump for either candidate because the voters were pretty much decided how they would vote in November, Kerry announced he would hold an unprecedented rally at midnight last Thursday—an hour after Bush completed his acceptance speech. Kerry said the rally was to deal with Cheney claiming he was unfit to command. Kerry announced that his campaign would address the "war records" of Dick Cheney and George W. Bush. Even before the words left his lips, the anti-Bush 527s were preparing ads denouncing Cheney as a wimp who sought, and received five deferments to avoid service, and Bush as a frightened little rich kid who used the patronage system to secure a safe berth in the Texas Air National Guard.

While it did not appear to be so when Cheney and Bush were labeled as patriotically-challenged, there is a major caveat for the Bush Campaign in Kerry's public examination of Bush's Air National Guard record. By doing so, Kerry has opened the door for the loyal opposition to examine his Naval Reserve record, and his "honorable discharge" from the United States Navy on March 12, 2001—even though his eight year military obligation ended on July 1, 1974.

Kerry's DD-214 indicates when he attempted to resign his commission on January 3, 1970 he was simply released from the service. He remained on active duty in the ready reserve until he was officially mustered from the service in 1974. What that means is that Kerry's antiwar protesting,in particular his November 11, 1971 meeting in Paris with a delegation from North Vietnam headed by Madame Nguyen Thi Binh and his his April 22 and July 21, 1971 anti-American, anti-military speeches before the Congress of the United States can, and must, be construed as acts of sedition against the United States by an officer on active duty in the United States Navy. (It is important to remember that while the American people are guaranteed free speech under the 1st Amendment, military personnel on active duty are not according to 18 USC 958.) Since there is no statute of limitation on treason, John Kerry must be arrested, charged, and made to stand trial for his crimes against the United States during a time of war. This is the new can of worms Kerry may have opened. To the Bush people I say: "good fishing."

Upon release from total active duty on January 4, 1970, Kerry was assigned to the Naval Reserve Center in Bainridge, Maryland. As a member of the Ready Reserves, Kerry had to "serve" 17 days of active duty per year. In addition, Ensign Kerry was required to complete 48 drills per year at the Bainridge Naval Reserve Center. Should the Bush people decide not to push for the arrest of Senator Kerry for meeting with an enemy delegation from North Vietnam on November 11, 1971 in violation of Article 14 of the Code of Military Justice, then they at least need to see if Ensign Kerry was AWOL from any of his 17 days per year of active service—or how many of the 48 drills per year he missed while his Swift Boat buddies who did not get three Band-Aid Purple Hearts were still fighting and dying in the Mekong Delta (while Kerry's radical antiwar group was consorting with the enemies who were trying to kill them). But, that's fodder for another Kerry bedtime story as we get closer to the election.

While Kerry's 527 allies are launching new attacks against Bush and Cheney's activities during a war that happened 30 years ago, Bush is focused on winning the war being fought in the Mideast today. The War on Terrorism—of which the war in Iraq is a part—is, according to Kerry, the wrong war at the wrong time. It is a war John Kerry the pacifist will not fight if elected. He will surrender the War on Terrorism to the terrorists—which is precisely what the pro-European, pro-Communist 527s that have already spent $126.67 million to defeat George W. Bush want to happen. Kerry, like Bill Clinton before him, believes what happened on September 11 was not an act of war but a terrorist crime that needs to be pursued by law enforcement officers rather than military officers. You will recall when the USS Cole was bombed in Yemen on October 12, 2000 when it docked at a safe harbor port to take on fuel. Seventeen American servicemen were killed in an act of war by al Qaeda. Did Bill Clinton send the Marines? No. He sent the FBI to investigate the crime. Expect more of the same should John Kerry get elected. And, expect al Qaeda to bring its Jihad back to American soil if Kerry is elected.

Just prior to the Republican National Convention in New York, The Joint Victory Campaign, 2004 (an adhoc group funded by American Coming Together and The Media Fund) had spend just under $40 million to hammer Bush. Independently, The Media Fund spent an additional $27.2 million and independent of their joint venture, America Coming Together spent an additional $24.19 million. In reality, the two groups spent $87.17 before the GOP convention to keep Kerry competitive by smearing Bush. Collectively, the anti-Bush 527s have already amassed $150.6 million—more money than Al Gore's entire campaign spent in the 2000 race against Bush. In addition to smear ads, the guerrilla-style tactics used by the anti-Bush 527s include $63 million spent on "mobilization" efforts. This mobilization includes the funding of websites and email campaigns by anti-Bush 527s posing as disillusioned or disenfranchised Bush 2000 voters who claim they are now either supporting Kerry or conservative third party candidates (since any vote for the M&Ms—Michael Peroutka or Michael Badnarik—is actually a vote for John Kerry since it is one less vote Bush will receive and one less vote Kerry has to earn).

The best known Democratic 527 is MoveOn.org. It is largely funded by socialist financier George Soros—who pledged to spend up to $10 million of his own money to defeat Bush—and Peter B. Lewis, the CEO of Cleveland, Ohio-based Progressive Insurance who has already contributed as much as $14.175 million to advocacy groups dedicated to defeating Bush—or more specifically, to electing Kerry. The least known indirect 527 funder is Teresa Heinz Kerry's Tides Foundation. The Tides Foundation finances many socialist anti-American groups including the Iraqi Peace Fund. (Many eyebrow-raising groups are financed indirectly through third party straw-donor PACs who are heavily financed by Heinz-Kerry. Thus, much of their grant-making ability comes from John Kerry's wife who would not be funding these groups if she did not approve of how they would use her largesse) The public players in MoveOn.org are Joan Blades, the key activist, and Wes Boyd. The group's former director of special projects, Zack Exley, now runs Kerry's online campaign efforts. The liberal 527s and the Kerry Campaign are tightly interwoven, leaving little room for doubt if you are wondering who scripts the agenda of those particular 527s—which again is the reason Kerry was convinced that the White House was in firm control of the advocacy of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth—he is in control of his.

America Coming Together is purportedly the best-funded anti-Bush 527, with its CEO Steve Rosenthal claiming he has $100 million at his disposal to unseat George Bush. Rosenthal is a Clinton Administration veteran. He spent three years as Associate Deputy Secretary of Labor. Before that he was the Deputy Political Director at the Democratic National Committee. Chief of Communications for ACT is Jim Jordan, Kerry's former campaign manager. ACT's primary spokesman, attorney Robert Bauer works for the law firm that serves as the Kerry Campaign's lawyers. Talk about a conflict of interest.

ACTs 527 partner in the smear-Bush campaign is The Media Fund. The Media Fund is headed up by former Clinton aide Harold Ickes. The Ickes family is an institution in political Washington dating back to his father's service to Franklin D. Roosevelt during the 1930s and 1940s. Harold Ickes, Sr., however has an even more checkered past than the current Washington icon. The senior Ickes was named by Gestapo chief Heinrich Muller as one of 63 FDR officials and Roosevelt aides the Gestapo had evidenced providing confidential if not secret data to the Soviets. Ickes was Secretary of Labor when he shared information with Moscow. Among those named were Frances Perkins, a known socialist, who served as America's first Secretary of Labor, Henry Morgenthau, Jr., Secretary of the Treasury, Dr. Robert Oppenheimer who headed the Manhattan Project, and Abe Fortas, who served briefly as a U.S. Supreme Court Justice. (The Gestapo Chief; By Gregory Douglas; R. James Bender Publishing; pg. 63-63.)

The real brains behind The Media Fund are found in the head of Ellen Malcolm, chief fund-raiser and key strategist, and founder of Emily's List. Jordan also functions as the spokesman for The Media Group, The 527 founded by these two 727s, The Joint Victory Campaign, 2004 was funded largely to create transparency. By funneling advertising dollars through shell 527s who have no actual donor bases other than the primary 527 that created it, transparency is achieved. For the most part, the identities of the donors of the primary PAC groups are shielded—except from those willing to spend the voluminous time required to ferret out the names of those who provided the initial operating grants to the PAC groups who funded the 527s.

The smallest, but equally deadly 527 in Kerry's arsenal, is The New Democrat Network. It's CEO is Simon Rosenberg. Rosenberg is an experienced strategist. He ran Clinton's Little Rock "war room" in 1992. Had he been running Kerry's, there would likely have been a rapid response to mitigate the impact of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ads even though they only ran in three battleground States. Rosenberg also worked for the DNC and the Democratic Leadership Council. Because of Bush's 11 point spike in the polls coming out of the GOP convention, Kerry was forced to regroup over the Labor Day weekend, replacing his campaign manager, Mary Beth Cahill, and realigning responsibility within his organization. Also spending a combined $21.35 million to unseat Bush are the American Federation of State/County/Muncipal Employees and the Service Employees International Union. Neither of those organizations should be allowed to participate in any partisan advertising efforts.

When you look at the advent of the 527, and see the massive amount of completely unregulated money—over $150 million dollars for only seven of over 200 liberal PAC groups—that liberal lobbyists and socialist ideologues have contributed for the sole purpose of electing John F. Kerry, you have to realize that what is happening this year is NOT politics as usual. Nor is what is happening just a bitter struggle between a conservative Republican and a liberal Democrat. Nor is it the Democrats' "revenge" for Bush skating into the White House on an electoral count win without a popular vote victory in 2000. What you are witnessing a major battle in an ongoing struggle between the communists and the capitalists to determine the power structure of the emerging world government.

When President George W. Bush said there was more at stake in the election of 2004 than any previous election, he was absolutely correct. By the end of this decade, world government will raise its ugly head in Europe and it will envelop the globe. It will be a government controlled by free enterprise capitalists and State-control socialists who will argue, in the courtrooms of Europe, that international law trumps national law and that the laws enacted in Brussels supersede the laws legislated in Washington, DC. The man who sits in the Oval Office between 2005 and 2008 will play a key role in determining what structure that government will take and how it will play in the Western Hemisphere, and America's roleand voiceif any, in that hierarchy. Do you want the man in the White House during these critical years to be a man with spinenot afraid to stand up to the leaders of Europeor, do you want a man in the White House who believes the UN should be the "law" in the invisible empery of internationalism, and that America's policies should be shaped by the opinions of the world's leadersmany of whom oppose us?

The creation of the Section 527 political advocacy groups in McCain-Feingold was an unseen although planned loophole that is now allowing adversarial political groups to run their own campaigns against candidates. That type of soft money advocacy is legal only if the advoacy group has no direct or indirect ties to the candidate who benefits from the advocacy. Evidence suggests the DNC and/or the Kerry Campaign control, or at least influence, the political advocacy of the liberal 527s described above. If so, that advocacy violates McCain-Feingold and is illegal.
